Run n’ Gun – Feature in pro moviemaker magazine

Below is a magazine article I featured in about run n’ gun filmmaking.  run n’ gun refers to the type of shooting I’ve often had to do where you are shooting documentary footage and you have no real control of what is happening.  You are following events and building sequences dynamically as you shoot.  It’s a particular skill and is pretty hard compared to when you can control the environment you are in.  I have a Sony FS5 for this type of shooting and its a cracking little documentary camera.  Be sure to check out the video above as a good example of my run and gun filmmaking.  You can download the full article here if you prefer to read it that way: run-and-gun
