24 Hours in Beijing: Time-lapse

ARVE Error: The [[arve]] shortcode needs one of this attributes av1mp4, mp4, m4v, webm, ogv, url

I was commissioned to make this video by the British Embassy in Beijing as part of a series of videos to introduce diplomats and their families to the city. The time-lapses were shot on the Panasonic HPX170 by me and on the Canon 7D by Janek Zdzarski.

The ‘real-time’ footage was shot in Ritan Park, central Beijing. Most of the time-lapses towards the end, which were filmed at night, were shot using the Frame Rate ‘hack’ on the HPX170 at 2FPS with the shutter open a full 360 degrees in Film Cam mode 25PN.

For another of my videos featuring this cool technique, check out the behind-the-scenes promo I shot for BMW in Beijing.

For more information on the frame rate hack, click here.
