The Fujianese Seaweed farmers of Southern China

ARVE Error: The [[arve]] shortcode needs one of this attributes av1mp4, mp4, m4v, webm, ogv, url

I filmed these farmers in early June 2014. I directed and shot the segment with help from a local drone crew. The type of seaweed they are farming is called Saccharina japonica or more commonly called Laminaria or just plain old kelp or seaweed. It tastes delicious and the Chinese eat it predominantly in soups.

Music: Gymnopedies 2 – Lent Et Triste. Composed by Satie performed by Daniel Varsano
Aerial Photography: Zhao Linjun
