Dr Alexander Kumar is a British infectious diseases and tropical medicine doctor. He fills a unique medical niche combining science, medicine, adventure and exploration.
Alex has seen and done a great deal more than your average 32-year-old person, having lived, worked and travelled through over 80 countries in his unique and varied career. His exploits have included overwintering in Antarctica, working in tropical medicine with snake bites in the Amazon and researching HIV in the Arctic among the Inuit. His work as expedition doctor has seen him undertake numerous extreme expeditions across the world.
